Marshmello and Halsey's "Be Kind" is the '80s-inspired Pop Song Quarantine Needs

When you combine the producer behind multi-platinum hits, like "Wolves" and "Happier," and the artist behind record-setting pop hits, like "Without Me," together to collaborate on a single track, you know it's going to be a banger. What Marshmello and Halsey deliver in "Be Kind" is nothing short of the perfect summer song.

"Be Kind" does justice with its title message and explores the challenges of trusting people in relationships, but ultimately reminds listeners that you can be vulnerable and "be kind to the one that you love."

Comprised of mellow beats, soothing synths, and infectious melodies, "Be Kind" is the kind of track that demands blaring in your car – with windows down and wind in your hair on your next great adventure with your friends. This track was clearly written with summer vibes in mind – and, if "Be Kind" isn't the song of the summer, I will riot.

While "Be Kind" definitely makes me dream about summer road trips, the song is also the perfect accompaniment for dancing around your room in the sweats you've been wearing for the past two days (Hey, I'm not speaking from experience or anything). Through its uplifting lyrics and dreamy beats, the '80s-inspired dance track exudes positivity and the uplifting vibes we all need right now.

Overall, "Be Kind" could not have been released at a more perfect time. It brings brightness and light into the grey days of quarantine and spreads good vibes through its uplifting melodies and positive sentiments. It's the perfect track to dance to, sing along to, and whatever else you need to do to get you through this crazy time.

Remember to be kind and keep spreadin' the good vibes!

you can be kind to the one that you love...
